A high-level Vietnamese delegation, headed by State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, arrived in the Uruguayan capital city of Montevideo on May 10 to begin their official visit to the South American nation at the invitation of its Vice President Rodolfo Nin Novoa.

The delegation includes Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Foreign Minister Dao Viet Trung, Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Van Hieu, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Duc Hoa and Vice Head of the Central Commission for Inspection Pham Thi Hai Chuyen.

It also comprises representatives of more than 40 Vietnamese businesses that seek opportunities for cooperation and investment in the Eastern Republic of Uruguay.

Ms Doan is scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez Rosas, meet with Vice President Rodolfo Nin Novoa, and attend the Vietnam-Uruguay Enterprises Forum and the signing of several cooperation agreements between the two countries.
