On September 30, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan and a top-level delegation left Hanoi for a six-day official visit to India at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Shri Mohamed Ansari.

The Vice President is being accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Duc Hoa, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Vinh Hien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai, Deputy Director of the Government Office Nguyen Huu Luc and more than 50 Vietnamese businesspeople. .

Mrs Doan’s visit aims to underline Vietnam’s consistent policy of consolidating and strengthening its time-honoured relations of friendship and cooperation with India.

During her stay in India, Mrs Doan is scheduled to have talks with Indian Vice President Shri Mohamed Ansari and meet with Foreign Minister Shri S.M.Krishna.

She will also meet with the leaders of several Indian political parties and attend the Vietnam-India business forum.
