In the talks with President Sang, Chairman of the Dai Loc district People’s Committee Nguyen Van Truc said that, despite facing many difficulties in 2011, Dai Loc maintained a relatively high economic growth rate with total production value reaching more than VND2,400 billion, 13 percent more than 2010. Its budget revenue hit nearly VND 538 million, up 60 percent over the previous year, and the number of poor household was reduced to 15.39 percent.

The local people have responded actively to the movement to build new rural areas and four pilot communes in the province have already achieved 14 of the 19 criteria for new rural areas.

In his speech, President Sang praised Dai Loc’s achievements and encouraged local cadres and people to do their best to fulfill this year’s socio-economic targets.

The Party committee, authorities and people of Dai Loc district need to bring into full play their tradition of heroism, promote solidarity, overcome all difficulties, and effectively utilize Party and State economic programmes and targets to join hands with Quang Nam province to strive towards successful national industrialization and modernization, the President said.
