State President Nguyen Minh Triet called on Hanoi to improve infrastructure facilities and ensure rapid and sustainable development economically, culturally and socially to make it more renowned and beautiful.
State President Nguyen Minh Triet on February 13 paid a New-Year visit to the Hanoi Party Committee, the municipal People’s Committee and the municipal judicial agencies.
Mr Triet praised the city’s remarkable achievements during the past year which he said greatly contributed to the successful organisation of the 10th National Party Congress and the 14th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
Hanoi is the eldest brother and the spearhead of the whole country in many fields, Mr Triet emphasised.
Regarding tasks in the coming period, the State President asked Hanoi to do well the task of building its Party committee into a strong and transparent organisation as it is the biggest Party agency in the country. If it plays to its strength and well performs its role as a local Party organisation, Hanoi will successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.
Mr Triet also called on Hanoi to improve infrastructure facilities and ensure rapid and sustainable development economically, culturally and socially to make it more renowned and beautiful.
During his visits to judicial agencies in Hanoi, including the Police, the Supreme People’s Procuracy and the Supreme People’s Court, Mr Triet requested all cadres in the judicial sector to constantly improve themselves to uphold revolutionary ethics and to properly handle people’s denunciations and petitions.
