Nhan Dan
(People) daily asserted that the potential for cooperation between the two countries remains enormously large, especially in hydroelectricity, education and training, healthcare, agriculture and rural development.

Quan Doi Nhan Dan
(People’s Army) said the visit is taking place at the time when the two countries are busy celebrating the 45th anniversary of their diplomatic ties and the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty in 2007. This is a concrete step to deepen the Vietnam - Laos relationship, making it more comprehensive and more effective, thus bringing more practical benefits to national construction and defence in each country.

The papers also expressed their confidence that President Triet's important activities in Laos, particularly his talks with General Secretary and President Choummaly Sayasone, will create good conditions for the two sides to discuss and find concrete measures to strengthen Vietnam-Laos ties.
