He thanked international friends, including Venezuela, for their great assistance to Vietnam during the war of resistance against US imperialists. He expressed his pleasure at the positive development of the friendship between Vietnam and Venezuela and underlined the need to boost bilateral ties in trade, investment, culture and education, and science and technology.

Economic development cooperation not only helps the two countries overcome current difficulties but also serves as an important way to achieve their goal of building a strong and prosperous socialist society for all, said Mr Triet. 

For his part, VVFSA President Rodriguez affirmed that solidarity forms the core of building a just world – a goal that both Vietnam and Venezuela are pursuing.
Both countries should educate their young generations to further strive for a peaceful, stable and prosperous world, he said.
