Five newly accredited ambassadors presented their credentials to State President Nguyen Minh Triet in Hanoi on December 3.

They are ambassadors from Palestine, the Philippines, Algeria, Armenia and Nepal.

At the reception, Mr Triet and the ambassadors compared notes on bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and their countries in economics, trade, investment, labour, health care and education and discussed ways to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region and in the world.

The State President asked the ambassadors to work closely with Vietnamese agencies by promoting the exchange of high-level visits in order to share experience and learn more about different cultures and to ensure effective cooperation from each country. Vietnam’s relevant agencies will create the best possible conditions for all ambassadors to fulfill their tasks to help strengthen relations between Vietnam and other countries, Mr Triet said.

In return, the ambassadors also pledged to do their best in their positions and effectively promote cooperation with their respective countries and Vietnam.
