During the reception at the Presidential Palace on November 16, Mr Sang affirmed that the Vietnam visit by Mr Nakagaki and Japanese entrepreneurs demonstrated the fine strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.

He briefed Mr Nakagaki on Vietnam’s development strategy approved at the 11^th National Party Congress. He said Vietnam will accelerate the restructuring of its economy in the next 5-10 years and expressed his wish that Japan would continue to provide support for Vietnam in many fields, especially ODA and FDI.

President Sang proposed the two sides exchange business delegations on a regular basis.

In reply, Mr Nakagaki sincerely thanked Vietnam for its timely assistance to Japan in the wake of its recent tsunami and earthquakes.

He also briefed the host on the results of working sessions with some Vietnamese ministries during the visit.
