At the meeting, Head of the sect Tran Duc Nang and other Caodai dignitaries expressed their appreciation to the Party and State for assisting Caodaists in practising their religion.
Nang also reported briefly on the history of Caodaism and the results of Caodai activities in recent times.
During its one-century history, many Caodai followers took part in patriotic movements and resistance wars against foreign aggression.
So far this religious sect has had 267 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, nearly 5,000 martyrs and many families rendering services to the Vietnamese Revolution.
Now the religion has nearly three million believers, 15,000 dignitaries, and more than 1,000 houses of worship.
The religion’s followers have demonstrated their attachment to the nation, complied with the law, and actively engaged in social activities.
