State President Truong Tan Sang, his wife and delegation left Hanoi on September 6 for the 20th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Meeting in Russia from September 6-9 and Kazakhstan from September 9-11.
The Vietnamese high-level delegation to the APEC Summit in Vladivostok includes Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Chairman of the Presidential Office Dao Viet Trung, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang, Vietnamese ambassador to Russia Pham Xuan Son and assistant to the State President Nguyen Van Thao.
President Sang is also accompanied by many other ministers and senior officials.
The Vietnamese delegation’s participation in the APEC Summit and visit to Kazakhstan will bring into full play Vietnam’s role in contributing to APEC cooperation as well as its agenda, and strengthening its traditional friendship and all-round cooperation with Kazakhstan.
