State President Truong Tan Sang is now on the way to Hawaii, USA, for the 19th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum at the invitation of US President Barack Obama after concluding his State visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK) on the evening of November 10.

President Sang is accompanied by Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Minister and Director of the Government Office Dao Viet Trung, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue, along with the Deputy Minister of National Defense and the Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Vietnam’s participation in the 19th APEC Summit aims to implement the 11th National Party Congress’ external policy of promoting international integration, continuing to play an important role in the framework of Asia-Pacific regional cooperation, including APEC.

This event provides an opportunity for Vietnam to boost political, trade and investment relations with its partners and deepen its relations with APEC members.
