The State Audit will give priority to the audit of state budget and investment projects with capital sources from state budget and ODA, according to the agency’s conference held on January 24 to review its work in 2010 and set targets for the new year.

The central audit agency will also focus on auditing the management and using of state capital at state groups and corporations as well as financial and banking institutions with the aim of providing the Party and National Assembly with detailed and exact information.

Addressing the conference, National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Kien requested the State Audit specify its tasks to a rational schedule and carry out the strategy for developing the audit sector from now until 2020.

State audit activities should closely follow the National Assembly’s supervision, he stressed.

Mr Kien also highlighted the need to comprehensively train auditors to the standards defined by the State Audit law.
