A senior Singaporean army official expressed his hope that the armies of Vietnam and Singapore will increase the exchange of delegations and experience in anti-terrorism at a reception by Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Phung Quang Thanh in Hanoi on April 3.

The visiting Singaporean Secretary of Defence, Chang Chi Phu, said he hopes that the two armies will join hands in organising conferences and forums on regional and international defence and security.

Minister Thanh said that the relations between the two armies have undergone considerable development and that the visit by the Singaporean army delegation would help consolidate the relationship between the two countries’ armies and people.

Earlier, the Singaporean delegation met with Deputy Minister of Defence Sent. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Huy Hieu, held exchanges with the Military Strategy Institute and the Foreign Relations Institute under the Defence Ministry, and laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
