At his meeting with Italy's Public Sector and Innovation Minister, Renato Brunetta, Mr Viet introduced a state-funded project to train senior managers overseas and discussed the possibility of cooperating with Italy in the areas of public administration, planning and management, cultural heritage preservation, tourism development, and disaster control.
Both parties agreed to send delegations to conduct a feasibility study in Italy. This year, Vietnam will invite several leading Italian experts in the field of Public- Private Partnership (PPP) and government procurement to organise training courses for Vietnamese officials in Italy to learn about Europe and public administration.
On the occasion, Mr Viet paid a courtesy visit to Oliviero Diliberto, a member of the Italian Communist Party, and head of the personnel board of the Italian Democratic Party and talked to the Vietnamese embassy's staff in Italy.
