The Ministry of Foreign Affairs opened a two-day international seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on December 17 to promote the Master Plan for ASEAN Connectivity.

The seminar has attracted 130 delegates from ASEAN countries, ASEAN’s dialogue partners (such as China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the US, and Russia), international and regional organizations, and business councils and businesses in ASEAN and East Asia.

The event serves as a venue for discussing, sharing and collecting ideas for the ASEAN connectivity plan, which is hoped to lay a solid foundation for larger regional connectivity in East Asia in future.

The event commenced a series of promotion activities to build cooperation between ASEAN partners, including regional and international organizations, multilateral development banks, and the private sector.
