During the seminar, 150 delegates from both countries reviewed the traditional solidarity of Vietnam and Laos.
It would also illuminate great contributions by the Lao army and people together with Vietnamese volunteer soldiers on the battlefields in northwestern Laos to educate young people on the traditional solidarity between the two countries.
To Huy Rua, Politburo member and head of the Information and Education Commission (IEC) of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, highlighted the resistance base in northwest Laos as a manifestation of the Indochinese Communist Party’s spirit, intelligence and vision for the revolutionary cause of Laos in particular and the three Indochinese countries in general.
He praised achievements that the two countries have made during their struggles for national independence in the past as well as in their current socio-economic development.
On the sidelines of the seminar, former Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts and their Lao comrades met to reminisce about their war memories.
