The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration (HCMA) and the Venezuelan Embassy in Vietnam hosted a seminar entitled “Missions – the most outstanding social achievements of the Bolivar revolution” in Hanoi on June 24.

Addressing the event, Prof. Ta Ngoc Tan, Director of HCMA asked Vietnamese scholars to exchange their research about the Bolivar revolution and socialism in the 21st century with Venezuelan counterparts, jointly seeking ways to build up a new socialism with the goal of a wealthy people, a strong country, and a democratic, fair and civilized society.

Venezuelan Ambassador to Vietnam, Jorge Rondon Uzcategui, said that on June 24, 1821, after 10 years of ceaseless struggle under the leadership of national liberator Simon Bolivar, Venezuelan people won the greatest military victory in the fight for national independence, defeating veteran forces of the Spanish empire in South America and marking the birth of national independence.

At the event, delegates discussed the appearance of Venezuela’s social missions, which marked the progress of ensuring social welfare for the Venezuelan people, and shared their feelings about the Venezuelan country and Vietnam’s experience in national development./.
