A ceremony was held in the south central province of Khanh Hoa on December 10 to present the order and medals of friendship to several organisations and individuals who have actively contributed to joint operations between Vietnam and Russia  in the oil and gas industry.

On behalf of the Party and State, deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai presented the medal of friendship to the President of the Russian State Audit, Stepashin Sergei Vadimovich, and Russian specialists V.S Vovk, and V.Rubuskin who worked on the Vietsovpetro joint venture.

In addition, many of Vietsovpetro’s departments and individuals also received medals of friendship and certificates of merit presented by the Prime Minister for their achievements and active contributions to the development of the oil and gas sector.

Deputy PM emphasised that Vietsovpetro’s achievements are vivid symbol of traditional solitary, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.

Mr Hai highlighted the enthusiastic and effective contributions made by Russian experts in the process of national construction and defense as well as in the development of Vietnam’s oil and gas industry.

For his part,  Mr Stepashin Sergei Vadimovich expressed his deep thanks to the Vietnamese Party and State in recognising the Russian specialists and their contribution to strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. He added that he hoped they would continue to promote the friendly relationship.

The same day, the deputy PM made a fact-finding tour of several ongoing large scale projects in the Van Phong Economic Zone.
