Three Russian navy ships of the Pacific Ocean Fleet, destroyer the Admiral Tributs, oil tanker Pechenga and seagoing tug MB 37, docked at Saigon port on April 6, beginning a goodwill visit to Vietnam.
During their week-long stay, Russian officers and crewmembers will lay a wreath at Ho Chi Minh Monument, and pay a courtesy visit to municipal administration authorities, the Commands of Military Zone 7 and Navy Force Zone 2.
They are scheduled to play friendly sport games with soldiers of the Vietnam Navy Force and Military Zone 7. They will also visit historical and cultural relics in the city.
This is the second time a Russian Navy fleet has visited HCM City since 2001. The visit aims to strengthen the traditional friendship between the two nations and their armies.
