The Speaker of the Republic of Korea’s (RoK) National Assembly Kim Hyong-O and his delegation left Hanoi on November 18, concluding their five-day visit to Vietnam.
While in Hanoi, the RoK’s top legislator met with Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Phu Trong, greeted Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, and talked with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and met with the President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam.
During talks, the two sides acknowledged positive developments in the Vietnam-RoK ties and agreed that there remains much potential for their development.
They also discussed concrete measures to effectively implement the signed cooperative agreements and strengthen the communication and cooperation between the two countries and the two respective legislative bodies, bilaterally and multilaterally.
On this occasion, RoK NA Speaker Kim Hyong-O and his entourage laid wreaths at President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, visited his house and working office and some economic and cultural establishments in Hanoi, and talked to students of the Hanoi National University.
