The 32 sets of remains of Vietnamese soldiers and experts who had died in Laos were handed over and reburied at a cemetery in Huong Son district of Ha Tinh province on May 3.

Earlier, a requiem for the dead was held by Lao authorities and people in Laos’ province of Bolikhamxai.

Only seven sets of remains were clearly identified.

Relatives of the martyrs, who helped Laos during the wars of resistance, were informed to attend the burial ceremony.

During the 2010-2011 dry season, a special team from Ha Tinh’s military command gathered the remains from various places in Laos with the assistance of Lao authorities and people in Vientiane and Bolikhamxai provinces.
