While meeting with pastors and dignitaries there, Mr Doanh praised the Confederation for its significant contributions to national construction and development in line with the path clarified in its rules and charter and in the interest of the nation. He wished all Catholics and Protestants a merry and happy Xmas this year.

Pastor Phung Quang Huyen, head of the confederation expressed his wish that the Government Committee for Religious Affairs would create more favourable conditions for the confederation to develop its activities in line with the law.

Earlier, representatives of the committee paid a Xmas visit to the Hanoi Archdiocese.
