Ho Chi Minh City will host the 13th Conference of Chief Justices of Asia and the Pacific (CCJAP13) on November 8-12, Deputy PM Truong Vinh Trong reaffirmed at a meeting in HCM City on June 29.

Mr Trong, who is director of the Steering Committee for the organization of the  conference, said that the preparatory work must be sped up to secure the event’s success. He gave specific assignments to each and every member of the Committees as well as to subcommittees.

All preparation, including drafting documents, gathering information, finalizing the agenda and conference security measures must be completed on schedule, said Mr. Trọng.

The Conference of Chief Justices of Asia and the Pacific is held every two years. The 12th Conference was held in Hong Kong in 2007.

The Vietnam People’s Supreme Court took part in the event for the first time at the 6th Beijing Conference in 1995.
