• Indonesia, Vietnam boost bilateral relations

In his speech, Indonesian ambassador to Vietnam Mayerfas highlighted Indonesia’s glorious history of struggle and its socio-economic achievements, which have made the country become the 15^th biggest economy in the world.

The Indonesian diplomat thanked the Vietnamese government and people for supporting and cooperating with his country over the years while expressing hope that relations between the two countries will continue to grow and flourish in various fields.

Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said that he was pleased to see bilateral trade turnover growing steadily and the ties of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia developing finely in the areas of politics, economics, trade, investment, education, labour, security and national defence.

Son said he hopes Indonesian people will gain even greater achievements in national construction and development and affirmed Vietnam’s wish to enjoy closer cooperation with Indonesia in the near future.
