The Vietnamese government will support and create favourable conditions for German businesses, including those from the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, to boost cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises in all areas.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the commitment while receiving the visiting Governor of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state, Erwin Sellering, in Hanoi on September 14.

During the talks, the PM spoke highly of the visit by the Governor and businesses from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state, which, he said, would actively and practically contribute to boosting friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the state in particular and Germany in general to a new height.

He said Vietnam is pleased with the two countries’ growing relations in numerous areas, which contribute to strengthening peace, stability and development of the two nations, the region and the world at large.

For his part, Erwin Sellering said the Germany people are very impressive by the Vietnamese people’s efforts to overcome difficulties and post-war consequences and record remarkable achievements.

Businesses from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state are keen to increase cooperation with Vietnamese partners on the basis of the traditional relationship between the state and localities in Vietnam as well as between the two nations, he said.
