Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, his wife and a high-ranking Vietnamese Government delegation arrived in Pinyin on April 26, beginning a visit to Jiangsu province, China.

This is one of three Chinese locations– Jiangsu, Shanghai and Zhejiang that PM Dung and his entourage will visit when attending the Shanghai World Expo ’10 at the invitation of Chinese Government.

Receiving the Vietnamese delegation at the Lukou airport were the Vice-Governor of the Jiangsu Province, Zhang Weiguo and the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, Sun Guoxiang and Vietnamese Ambassador to China, Nguyen Van Tho, together with Vietnamese embassy staff and students.

The visit aims to strengthen the relationship between Vietnamese and Chinese localities and make the ties of strategic and comprehensive co-operation between the two countries more substantial and effective.

While in Jiangsu, PM Dung will attend the Vietnam-China Business Forum, and witness the signing of co-operative agreements between Vietnamese localities and Jiangsu province.
