Mr Triet proposed that Mr Wen support the Chinese government’s provision of preferential credit for Vietnam to build railway lines for the bauxite exploitation project in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong.
The Government of Vietnam wants to build railway and highway routes linking with China, considering these projects decisive factors for the success of the “Two Corridors, One Economic Belt” cooperation model between the two countries, said Mr Triet.
Premier Wen said the Chinese Government will create favourable conditions for its ministries, agencies, localities and businesses to boost cooperation and share experience with Vietnam.
He assured his guest that the Chinese Government will try to reduce trade imbalance with Vietnam.
During his meeting with Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Jia Qinglin the same day, Mr Triet expressed his pleasure at the progress in cooperative ties between the CPPCC and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), which, he said, helped raise mutual understanding and trust between agencies, localities and people of the two countries.
Mr Jia affirmed that CPPCC and its organisations are willing to exchange experience and cooperate with VFF.
Vietnamese State President Triet returned to Hanoi in the evening of May 18, concluding his four-day official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao.
