President Triet praised the delegation’s improved activities which promoted democracy, and contributed positively to dealing with thorny national problems.

The delegation should renew its commitments to resolve voters’ recommendations in an efficient and timely manner, he stressed.

Mr Huynh Dam said the administration and local fronts should work hand in hand to ensure the operational efficiency of the HCM City NA delegation and every NA deputy.

According to Pham Phuong Thao, head of the delegation, in the last term, the delegation organised 78 seminars on legislative activities and joined 36 supervisory delegations of the NA Ethnicity Council and NA Committees.

It also held 420 meetings with voters, received 1,337 citizens and dealt with more than 6,000 letters and petitions of complaint and denunciation.

The 13^th NA needs to raise the quality of all deputies and promote more meetings with voters and supervisory activities so that its activities will be more effective in the future, Thao said.
