President Quang begins visit to Belarus
VOV.VN - President Tran Dai Quang, his first lady and high-ranking delegation arrived in Minsk on June 26 afternoon, beginning a three-day official visit to Belarus at the invitation of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
Those among welcoming guests at the Minsk International Airport were Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko, Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Rybakov, Belarusian Ambassador to Vietnam Vladimir Goshin, and many Belarusian Government officials.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Le Anh, Vietnamese Embassy staff and representatives of Vietnamese people and students in Belarus also greeted the Vietnamese delegation at the airport.
At the foot of the plane, two young ladies dressed in traditional Belarusian costumes offered bread and salt to President Quang and his wife - a traditional welcoming ceremony showing the respect and hospitality of the Belarusians for distinguished guests.
The visit to Belarus by President Tran Dai Quang aims to affirm Vietnam’s external policy of diversification, multilateralization of relations with traditional friends and create momentum for stronger cooperation relations in multiple fields.
