President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly deputies in Ho Chi Minh City on November 28 met with voters from District 1 and at the Ho Chi Minh City Law University to report on the results of the 13th NA’s second session.

At the meeting, many voters pointed out shortcomings such as the poor quality of transport works, excessive traffic accidents, slow administrative reform, environmental pollution and corruption.

They urged NA to consider carefully the building of nuclear power plants and conduct comprehensive inspections on the Dong Nai 6 and 6A hydroelectric power projects.

President Sang agreed that lawmaking quality has yet to meet requirements, due to a lack of decrees guiding law enforcement.

On the issue of nuclear power plants, the State leader affirmed that the NA will carefully consider the requirement for national energy and safety before they get off the ground with a view to turning Vietnam into an industrialised country by 2020.

Many voters from HCM City Law University expressed their wish to contribute to amending the 1992 Constitution.
