To carry out Directive No. 50-CT/TW of the Party Politburo on necessary preparations for the upcoming elections, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked the Ministry of Information and Communications to inform the entire Party, people and army about the importance of the elections, regulations on the election of deputies to the NA and members of People’s Councils, the position and role of people’s representatives, rights, duties and responsibilities of citizens in building a pure, strong, efficient and effective State apparatus.
Information dissemination should be focused on encouraging all voters to actively get involved in the elections; every Party member should be responsible for encouraging people to join in the election.
PM Dung demanded the Ministry of Public Security to ensure political security and social safety, during the time of election.
The Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development should have plans to cope with the threat of natural disasters occurring when the elections are taking place.
The Government Inspectorate should well handle people’s complaints and accusations before, during and after the elections.
