PM urges swiftly translating Party's policies into reality

PM Pham Minh Chinh requested Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces of Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Binh Duong to promptly addressing concerns and recommendations to concretise and swiftly translate the Party’s policies and guidelines into practice while addressing a conference in Ba Ria – Vung Tau on March 20.

The event was held to approve the draft report of Inspection Team 1908 of the Party Central Committee's Politburo and Secretariat on the results of inspection of the Standing Boards of the Party Committees of the three localities.

Delegates heard the draft report on the inspection of the implementation of resolutions, conclusions, and directives on streamlining the political apparatus; establishing and operating new Party organisations; organising Party congresses at all levels in the lead-up to the 14th National Party Congress; promoting breakthroughs in science – technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation; and supplementary project on socio-economic development in 2025 towards reaching a growth target of at least 8% in 2025.

In his address, PM Chinh, who is also head of the Inspection Team, applauded the proactive, creative, and determined efforts of the Party Committees’ Standing Boards of the three localities in leading, directing, and implementing the Party's resolutions, conclusions, and directives.

The serious, responsible, and concerted implementation with high quality has created a new momentum and fostered consensus, engaging the entire political system, and gaining public support, he stressed.

He commended the HCM City Party Committee for swiftly stabilising the situation and ensuring the uninterrupted implementation of tasks despite personnel changes.

The leader urged the city to continue with the restructuring of the administrative apparatus, thoroughly prepare for Party congresses at all levels, devise growth scenarios, revitalise traditional growth drivers while fostering new ones, advance social housing projects, and ensure social welfare and environmental sustainability.

The PM asked the Standing Board of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau provincial Party Committee to strengthen political and ideological work for officials and Party members during the streamlining process; earmark 3-5% of the budget for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; put forth quarterly growth scenarios; promote the oil and gas industry as a key growth driver of the locality, and review and propose solutions to stalled projects.

He praised the proactive, innovative, and determined efforts in task execution of Binh Duong’s authorities, particularly in infrastructure development, technological advancement, and leveraging its strengths.

The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee must decisively implement social housing projects to ensure equal housing opportunities for residents, and take the lead in addressing public health issues, he said.
