Mr Dung told his guest that bilateral relationship has developed well and the agreement connecting the two economies has been on the right track.

He expressed his belief that Minister Mentor Lee’s visit will help broaden bilateral ties in various areas.

Both host and guest discussed the world situation and exchanged solutions to minimize the impact of the global crisis.

Mr Lee spoke highly of the resilience of the Vietnamese economy as well as solutions introduced by the government to curb the economic downturn. He expressed his belief that Vietnam will weather the current storm soon.
