The Governments of Vietnam and Russia has always made all-out efforts to develop cooperative relations in a comprehensive and effective manner and bring practical benefits to both countries, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

He made the statement at a reception for the visiting Russian Security Council Secretary General N. P. Patrushev in Nha Trang city in the south central province of Khanh Hoa on June 9.

On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung spoke highly of the working visit by General Patrushev and the Russian Security Council delegation at the invitation of the Ministry of Public Security.

Mr Dung appreciated the signing of agreements between the Russian delegation and Vietnam’s relevant agencies and expressed his delight at the constant development of traditional friendship and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia in all fields such as politics, diplomacy, national defence, security, economics, trade, investment, culture, education and training, science and technology.

PM Dung wished that Russia would further support Vietnam in training cadres, and encourage its businesses to do business in Vietnam.

The PM said the two countries are actively arranging for Russian PM V.Putin to visit Vietnam. There is high hope that Russia will support the signing of a cooperative agreement on the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Vietnam as well as other documents concerning cooperation in the military field.
