At a reception on July 20, he said that the Vietnamese government and people always appreciate the support of Swedish people in the struggle for national independence as well as the renewal and national construction process. 

He underlined Vietnam’s wish to strengthen cooperation with Sweden in all fields for the mutual benefits. 

In response, Ambassador Bergman expressed his pleasure at the fine results of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the environment, judicial research, and science and technology. He said he believes that more and more cooperation programmes will contribute to strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
