Iranian Ambassador Seyed Javad G. Shahidi has bid farewell to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung before he concludes his term in Vietnam.

At a reception on February 15, PM Dung spoke highly of the efforts made by the ambassador and expressed his wish that the diplomat would continue to boost cooperative ties between Vietnam and Iran in his new position.

Mr Dung proposed the two sides set up a working party to iron out snags in economic, trade and investment cooperation.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Shahidi thanked the Vietnamese government for having assisted him during his term in Vietnam.

He affirmed that he will continue to serve as a link of friendship between the two countries.
