PM Pham Minh Chinh leaves for WEF meeting, working visit to China
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh left Hanoi on June 24 morning for the 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Tianjin and a working visit to China.

The June 24-27 trip is made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende.
Accompanying PM Chinh are Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son; Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh; Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung; and Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh, among others.
The WEF meeting in Tianjin is taking place from June 24-27. It is the WEF's second most important annual event after WEF Davos and serves as a forum for countries to discuss long-term visions and solutions to critical global economic development issues.
Themed Entrepreneurship for a New Era, the agenda will focus on key issues such as global economic trends, China’s economic outlook, industrial transformation, smart manufacturing, investment in people and the planet, and the transition to new energy and materials.
By participating in the forum, Vietnam continues to affirm its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, and multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, as well as its proactive, comprehensive, and effective international integration. At the same time, it conveys a message of its determination and aspiration to enter a new era of development.
As a special guest, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the WEF’s opening ceremony and deliver a keynote speech at a key session titled “Is Asia’s Century at Risk?” He will also conduct bilateral meetings with leaders of other countries, WEF executives, and global business leaders.
During his engagements, the Prime Minister will present Vietnam’s assessments of global economic challenges and opportunities, share its development experience, and propose initiatives for regional cooperation. He will reaffirm Vietnam’s commitment to sustainable growth and highlight the country’s strategic vision, investment potential, and dynamism as a rising market economy.
He will also outline the Government’s continued efforts to improve the business climate, emphasising reforms across institutions, infrastructure, finance, and human resources. Key investment sectors will be highlighted, including artificial intelligence, automation, biotechnology, clean energy, infrastructure, and financial services.
While staying in China, Chinh will hold bilateral activities with the host country to effectively implement the common perceptions reached by the high-level leaders of the two Parties and two countries regarding practical cooperation across various fields. This aims to promote the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership and the Vietnam – China Community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
