Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on January 27 visited Infantry Battalion 207 under Kien Giang province military command.

During his visit, PM Dung said that Vietnamese people shed their blood for the country’s independence and freedom and he urged the cadres and soldiers of Infantry Battalion 207 to uphold their heroic tradition and be worthy of the Party and nation’s trust.

In the current context of national construction and defence, the battalion should strive to fulfill their tasks assigned by the Party and people, he said.

Prior to the visit, the Government leader laid a commemorative wreath at the Kien Giang provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery.

The same day, PM Dung visited an industrial shrimp farm in Giang Thanh district and Tam Bao pagoda in Ha Tien town.
