Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai and Government Office leaders offered incense to commemorate late President Ho Chi Minh at his relic complex in Hanoi on February 10.

Talking to complex officials and staff, Mr Dung recalled difficulties Vietnam experienced last year, and the all-out efforts the Party, government, the army, businesses and people made to prevent an economic downturn, achieve a gradual recovery, and ensure social welfare.

These achievements helped build up people’s trust in the Party leadership and raise Vietnam’s profile in the international arena, he said.

Despite difficulties, he said, the entire Party and people better carried out the campaign of “Studying and Following late President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Examples,” so as to mobilise the strength of all ethnic groups and promote the bloc of great national unity to meet development tasks.

Mr Dung praised complex officials and staff for having preserved President Ho’s memorabilia and received millions of domestic and foreign visitors who want to explore the late president’s revolutionary life.

“You have made a practical contribution to the campaign on President Ho’s moral examples,” said Mr Dung.

As Vietnam will celebrate the Lunar New Year festival (Tet) in three days’ time, he extended Tet Greetings to all complex officials and staff and wished them more success in their work.
