PM Le Minh Hung to attend 48th ASEAN Summit in Philippines
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Le Minh Hung will lead a high-level Vietnamese delegation to the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, the Philippines, from May 7 to 8, 2026.
The Vietnamese Government chief’s attendance is at the invitation of Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., ASEAN Chair for 2026, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 4.
ASEAN senior officials meet ahead of 48th summit
The ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) took place in Manila, the Philippines, on April 7, with the participation of deputy foreign ministers and senior officials from the 11 ASEAN member states, as well as the leaders of the ASEAN Secretariat.
