Prime Minster Nguyen Tan Dung received a delegation from the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) led by Secretary General Josef Moser on July 25.

PM Dung welcomed the delegation’s visit to Vietnam for a seminar on the legal position of the State Audit and Auditor General in the Constitution of Vietnam, saying that Vietnam attaches great importance to auditing which will help the NA and Government better manage financial resources and combat corruption.

Mr Dung said he hopes that INTOSAI will work closely with the SAV to share their expertise such as training human resources and revamping institutions so they conform to Vietnam’s conditions and international practices.

INTOSAI Secretary General Josef Moser said with 190 members, his organisation has made a positive contribution to ensuring transparency, preventing poverty and managing financial resources in each nation.

INTOSAI will further assist Vietnam in policy consultation and human resource training, he noted.
