PM Dung receives Hungarian diplomat

(VOV) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has received new Hungarian Ambassador Eszter Torda who paid a courtesy visit before assuming her position in Vietnam.

At a reception for the newly-appointed Hungarian ambassador in Hanoi on October 3, PM Dung has affirmed Vietnam’s consistent policy of increasing cooperation with Hungary in various fields in the near future.

Vietnam and Hungary boast great potentials for cooperation in economics, trade, investment, and education and training and Vietnam is willing to support Hungary in promoting cooperation with ASEAN member countries.

The two countries should work more closely and support each other at regional and international forums, Mr Dung said

The government leader said he hopes Hungary will support Vietnam in expanding cooperation with other European Union countries and soon recognize the country’s market economy.

Hungarian ambassador Torda said she will do all she can to boost multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, especially in potential areas such as economics, trade, agriculture, education and training, healthcare, information technology and communications, water resource management and waste treatment.
Hungary is ready to serve as a gateway for Vietnamese goods to enter European markets, Ms Torda noted.
