He was welcomed at Ezeiza International Airport by Argentinean diplomats, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina, and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the country.

An official welcome ceremony will take place at the Presidential Palace on April 16 by Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. Shortly after that the two leaders will hold talks on bilateral relations. 

Mr Dung’s visit aims to promote political, trade and economic cooperation with Latin American countries, including Argentina.

The visit comes hot on the heels of his participation in the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington DC, the US.
