Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived in Moscow on December 14, beginning an two-day official visit to Russia at the invitation of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

He was welcomed at Vnukovo airport by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexei Borodavkin, the Russian Ambassador to Vietnam, Andrey Grigorievich Kovtun, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia, Bui Dinh Dinh, ASEAN ambassadors to Russia and representatives of friendship groups.

In the afternoon (Moscow time), Mr Dung is scheduled to make a tour of several industrial centres and cultural places in the capital. He will also attend an inauguration ceremony of Vietnam-Russia Bank branch in Moscow and meet with representatives of leading Vietnamese and Russian enterprises.

Mr Dung’s visit is aimed at promoting the strategic and comprehensive cooperation partnership between Vietnam and Russia, especially in the fields of economics, trade, investment, science-technology, education-training, oil&gas and tourism.
