The 2025 SCO Summit will be held in Tianjin, China, and is expected to see the participation of more than 20 national leaders, including the heads of the 10 official SCO member states, such as Chinese Communist Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as representatives from observer countries, dialogue partners, other invited countries, and leaders of several international organizations.
The invitation extended to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend the SCO Summit as a guest of the host country demonstrates the SCO member states’ recognition of Vietnam’s role and status, and their interest in hearing Vietnam’s stance on regional and global security, political, and development issues.
The summit also provides an opportunity for Vietnam to share and discuss specific measures to enhance cooperation and dialogue, strengthen multilateralism, maintain regional stability and security, and promote sustainable development.
During the visit, PM Pham Minh Chinh will meet with Chinese leaders, government ministries, and business representatives to further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the Vietnam-China Community of shared future, which carries strategic significance, with a particular focus on boosting substantive cooperation in economics, trade, investment, and major strategic infrastructure projects.
