General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has confirmed that no inspection means no leadership during a working session with key cadres of the Central Inspection Commission.

The September 16 meeting was also attended by Politburo member Le Hong Anh and leaders of the central commissions of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

During the meeting, Mr. Trong stated that inspection is a vital element of Party building, which helps enhance the Party’s leadership capacity and combat power.

He highlighted the urgent need to halt corruption, degeneration, and wastefulness among party cadres to increase the Party’s purity and strength and regain people’s belief. He said strong action can be taken to strictly deal with wrongdoing within the Party so that discipline and democratic centralism are maintained.

The Central Inspection Commission reported that after the 11th National Party Congress, it advised the Party on setting up delegations to handle with complaints.

The commission also examined signs of discipline violations among party members.

Party chief Trong urged party inspectors to improve their own ethical qualities and set a good example for others to follow.
