To Huy Rua, Party Politburo member and head of the Commission for the Organisation of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) met with staff of the Lao-Viet Bank in Vientiane, Laos on June 5.
Vietnam, Laos Parties tighten ties
The meeting was part of his working visit to Laos from June 4-8.
The Lao-Viet Bank is a joint venture between the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and the Lao Bank of Foreign Trade (BCEL) which is incorporated and registered in Laos.
Launched on June 22, 1999, the bank now has mobilised capital of US$290 million and an annual growth rate of more than 30 percent.
Mr Rua praised the Bank’s contributions to promoting the Vietnam-Laos relationship. He also urged its staff to overcome difficulties to gain more achievements.
