The Party leader made the request during a meeting with office staff in Hanoi on February 10.

He praised the office’s achievements last year, saying it made broad recommendations to the Party Central Committee, the Political Bureau and the Secretariat concerning the country’s socio-economic development.

He said in 2010, the country will witness many important events, especially the 1,000^th anniversary of Hanoi and grassroots-level Party Congresses in the lead-up to the 11^th National Party Congress.

As a Party advisor, he said, the office should work harder to meet national socio-economic development targets as well as the targets of the 10^th National Party Congress, and make a thorough preparation for successfully organising Party congresses.
