Party leader visits Nhan Dan Newspaper

Mr Trong was briefed on the newspaper’s implementation of political tasks since the 11^th National Party Congress, including the progress of its six publications including the Nhan Dan Daily, Nhan Dan Weekend, Nhan Monthly, Thoi Nay (Present Day) and Vietnamese and English versions of Nhan Dan Online

All publications follow the political orientations based on the functions, guidelines and objectives set by the newspaper.

Nhan Dan has made great efforts to improve the quality of its media products, aiming to impart information about Party guidelines and policies, the 11^th National Party Congress resolutions, and Government measures to curb inflation, stabilise the macro-economy and ensure social welfare, as well as issues related to agricultural and industrial production.

Talking to Nhan Dan reporters and editors, the Party chief praised the achievements they have recorded over the past years while highlighting the important role Nhan Dan has played in the national revolutionary cause.

He said he believes that with its glorious tradition as the Party newspaper, Nhan Dan will continue to play a full role in orienting the ideological work of the revolutionary press.

Working with the staff and reporters of the Communist Review the same day, the Party leader affirmed the important role and position of the Communist Review as a theoretical and political organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee.

He praised the achievements made by the Communist Review staff over the past time, saying that they remarkably contributed to the Party’s theoretical and political popularisation work as well as to the common revolutionary cause of the nation.

Regarding future orientations, General Secretary Trong stressed that the Communist Review should closely follow resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee to do well its editorial and publication work and scientific activities.
