This was stated by Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh at a meeting with Tanzanian Prime Minister, Mizengo Peter Pinda in Hanoi on March 29.
Mr Manh welcomed the PM’s visit to Vietnam as indication of the fine relationship between the two countries and congratulated Tanzania on its achievements. He conveyed his best regards to Jakaya Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania and President of the Revolutionary Party, and said he hopes that the Revolutionary Party will win in the upcoming election and lead its people to successfully implement the country’s “Vision towards 2025” plan.
PM Pinda expressed his admiration for Vietnam’s achievements during its renewal process, especially in poverty reduction and becoming one of the world’s leading rice exporters, as well as its increasing prestige and status on the international arena.
He briefed Party leader Manh on the current situation in south Africa and Tanzania and confirmed that Tanzania attaches a lot of importance to strengthening friendship, solidarity and co-operation with Vietnam, especially in the fields of agriculture, health care and education.
PM Pinda began a three-day official visit to Vietnam on March 29 at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
